Business Cards Sneak peek

I haven’t had a business card update since 2006, so this will be a long-time coming. For those of you who know, the old set was sparse and I experimented with them by doing crafty things such as cutting, drawing and even stitching on them. Stitching be the most successful of the techniques and the one that taught me how useful a really snazzy card can be. It’s a instant conversation started and within a few months, I know the usual routine of what people say and can tell “the story” behind it.
This new set will be using metallic inks and a “strike-through”* varnishing technique to achieve the “J” and “T” glimmer on the plus sign. As of going on press today for the cards — the printer is going to dry the cards and do a second run through the press.
* My project manager and the interwebz describes strike-through varnishing as a double application technique that uses both dull AND glossy coating. This whole thing is still a bit fuzzy to me.
