With the department's community growing exponentially, welcoming dozens of new members annually, the website remains a pillar of support, continuously adapting and evolving to meet the ever-changing needs of its users.
The Starting Line
Recognizing the homepage's crucial role in shaping user experience, we prioritized its enhancement from the very beginning. To streamline navigation and expedite content discovery, I designed a tabbed interface. This feature has undergone continuous improvement, underscoring its importance in driving core metrics and establishing itself as a cornerstone of audience management.
The Faculty
At the heart of every academic department lies its remarkable faculty, and I sought to design an interactive interface that would resonate with the student audience. Undergraduate students embark on a competitive selection journey to become part of a faculty-led lab. This user interface acts as a gateway, allowing students to gain a quick understanding of the labs before navigating to their respective dedicated pages.
The Researcher Base
The department's success lies not only in its academic achievements but also in the strong community it cultivates. Researchers, often spending a significant portion of their time together, develop deep connections that transcend the confines of the lab. I also devised a user-friendly interface within the control panel, empowering administrators to effortlessly manage student listings, seamlessly transitioning them from undergraduate to postdoc to alumni status.
